After two years of dodging Covid, it finally hit me and it has been quite the awful week of feeling like trash. I’ve been quarantined in a hotel room bored out of my mind (there’s only so much TV I can watch) and ordering out for every single meal (I wish I were eating home cooked meals!).
As I’m hopefully now on the mend + have a bit more energy to type (I’ve missed writing for you all! 😭) I’d like to ask:
What foods do you crave when you’re sick or down in the dumps? What foods make you feel better?
oh gosh, my answer to your question is spicy noodle soup, for sure....any cuisine, really! if I'm at home, I'd want chickpea miso noodle with lots of garlic, but let's be real, it would probably be nong shim.
dude, wishing you well and hoping your body + tastebuds recover in due time!
Oh no, I hope you feel better soon! I usually crave grilled cheese because it is quick to make and so satisfying. When I was sick as a kid I would also have pomegranate syrup with lots of ice cubes. It's a French brand but I just realized you can find it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Grenadine-Teisseire-French-Syrup-concentrate/dp/B001F3IJFO

Get well soon, Natalie! Hope you can find a show to binge that keeps you captivated enough. I've also managed to dodge covid so I'll keep all these comments in mind when the inevitable happens.. haha. I love matzo ball soup when I'm sick, that's the Jewish girl in me!
The large container of Chinese takeout chicken noodle soup, spiked with hot sauce. Or, now that I live in a neighborhood with great Thai food, tom yum soup.

Wishing you a super speedy recovery!
A warm broth with a few vegetables and rice or noodles does it for me, hope you feel better soon!
Take care and I hope you feel better soon.

Japanese food, always. Nothing bring me more comfort and is easy on my stomach. Especially miso soup and warm rice.
Heinz Tomato soup 🥹
Take care Natalie! Hope you start to feel better very soon!
