I wonder why people are getting rid of their instant pots. I am rather attached to my cast iron pots (Le creuset) as I can’t seem to look after uncoated cast iron. I love my black pepper grinder and it breaks my hurt to throw a wooden spoon away. They feel like family. 🥺😂

I honestly think people are ditching them because folks don't have a lot of space and are back to eating out again instead of cooking at home. Good wooden spoons that don't split are so hard to come by!! I love acacia and bamboo ones. Waaaay sturdier! 💗✨

I'm always cooking in my cast iron pans and Dutch oven. I hope to never part from my Instant Pot, and I love my electric pepper grinder more than I expected. My husband brought it, and now I can have all the pepper I want without cramping my hand.

I LOVE a dutch oven! Heavy AF but so necessary once the temps drop and all I want are stews and soups. Electric pepper grinder is essential for big batches of ground pepper. I use my spice grinder when super lazy (which honestly these days is quite often 😅)!

I've been eyeing 👀 a super expensive kettle by Caraway ($135! 😳) But not sure if it's worth it. Should I go the route of the Le Creuset instead if I'm gonna drop that kinda dough?

Hmmmm that’s a good question, depends on how fashionable you like to keep your kitchen appliances. I purchased my Le Creuset kettle from the outlet and i felt good about that save. In fact all of my creuset purchases have come from the outlet.

I do eat tofu often but press the liquid out with a heavy book on a plate. Do you think its a good investment to get one?

I put off getting one for the longest time. I made a rube goldberg-esque contraption of cake pans and soda cans. I find that the press is a) easier b) takes up less space in my fridge and c) presses the tofu far more evenly.

Totally getting one then!! My cumbersome book method doesn't take all the liquid out so it takes way longer to get it super crispy 💗✨.

Oh, that's an amusing dive (and totally believable un-trend) over at eater. I am very meh on air fryers but I do make beans, seitan and stock in my instantpot every couple of weeks. Still hanging in there!

Really, long live the cast iron skillets!! My Japanese breadknife is another near daily go-to, and I recently un-earthed my cooling racks and I'm sooooo glad to be using them again! What a difference they make.

Ooo Japanese bread knife! I love a great knife. Cooling racks are the bomb.com! I use mine to cool my baked goods AND to make super crispy bacon🥓💗✨.
