Oh I cried like a baby reading this. We are "that" couple too. My Ruby is my baby. She is a 10 year old English bulldog and the sweetest thing. She is getting very gray and it's hard for her to catch her breath and I know what is coming. It sounds like Latte was super special (and cute!) too and I hope you both have happy memories and laughs thinking of her.

My heart breaks for you. I lost my 14 year-old pup almost two years ago. Letting her go was the one of the hardest decisions in my life. A soul shattering decision. We still talk about her everyday. The sadness is still there but the tears don't come as often as they use to. Time heals, as they say. Take it one day at a time.

My heart breaks for you my friend. I’m so very sorry for your loss! I can’t imagine losing my cats, who also have been a tremendous help with my mental health. Hang in there! Latte is watching over you with pride. ❤️

Side note: what a gorgeous doggo she was.

Losing a dog is something that is so universal - and so painful. I lost my dog, Bodhi, when I was 7 and I still think about her most days! Latte sounds like an amazing part of your little family and your reflection of her importance was beautiful. Take care ❤️‍🩹
