New but late to the party. Congratulations! I randomly stumbled on your post about Canadian food yesterday and have since been going through the archives and enjoying your writing. I'm from NY but currently live in Tokyo. I end up writing about food more than I thought I would. It's just such a fascinating subject that encompasses so much!
